Building, parking area and ground maintenance and repair are within the remit of the estates department. This includes engineering both preventative and general maintenance installations on fixed and moveable equipment. On-site accommodation also comes under the gamut of estates, as does energy management, catering services, laundry, porter and cleaning duties and hospital security. At times, training apprentices is required.
