Also known as personnel, the HR department is responsible for hospital recruitment of clinical and non-clinical staff, contracts and staff development (including training and staff appraisals). The Human Resources section is responsible for workforce planning and, as such, liaison with all relevant departments is essential. It is god practice for the human resources department to keep abreast of employment law and legislation, along with implementation of government initiatives as appropriate.
